What struck us the most was how unironically forward-thinking Forward College was. Not only is it located in the heart of a UNESCO world heritage site protected for its rich culture and colonial architecture, but more importantly utilizes that space in a host of interesting ways. From co-living and co-working spaces to multiple event rooms for both public and private workshops. Having spent most of the day there the thing that really stood out was the number of presentations the students gave to each other to promote the projects they were working on. It’s clear that Forward College are preparing a new generation of talent ready for the workforce.
After thirteen years of developing blockchain based applications, which started with Bitcoin and like most organizations, eventually moved-on to Ethereum and smart contracts; it’s exciting to find ourselves back on Bitcoin and building things that were previously impossible. With the introduction of ordinal theory and its ability to hold and track data that is embedded into inscriptions, Casey opened the floodgates and started a renaissance surrounding meta-protocols.
